What are Stimulants? Stimulants, or ‘uppers,’ are drugs that speed the body up. These drugs include amphetmaines, cocaine, Adderall and caffeine.

Signs of stimulant use: Rigidity or jerking of the limbs, fast or irregular pulse, chest pain, skin hot to touch, sweating, severe headaches, anxiety, paranoia, confusion, agitation, hallucinations.

Signs of stimulant overdose: crushing chest pain, seizures, unconsciousness.

Get Help! If someone is experiencing any of these signs, call 911. Stay and help — You may be protected by Canada’s Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Act. When in doubt, use naloxone — it may not help, but it won’t hurt!
